Anna Silk

Anna Silk is Canadian actress and has gained fame in Canada for her role in the film Bo. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk, an actor as well as a producer, director, playwright, educator and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is able to recall her first experiences as being at play rehearsals with her mother. Silk was featured in a variety of commercials when she was a young child. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two early shows: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk moved out of Toronto to Los Angeles in the years following 1999. Seth Cooperman is her future spouse, whom she met in Los Angeles at an Actors workshop. They got engaged in 2009, and then married in a civil ceremony that December. The couple got married in Fredericton on April 10th 2011they renewed their vows, following Silk's change of religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's TV work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica in which she was awarded a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The role was assigned to her as Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian television series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk told fans of the show the good announcement that she became pregnant on the set of Season 3 during an exclusive pre-show for Season Three. This was broadcasted by Showcase in an exclusive Season Three show held January 6th, 2013 prior to the premiere. Silk announced on Twitter on June 20, 2013 that production had begun on Season 4. On 4 June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the start of Production for Season 4 of the show. The CNN Cable News Network named her performance as Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples one of their all-time favorite television Couples. E! named the couple as the top Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk has, in turn, its prominence on social media has grown to a huge online following.
