She participated in singing contests she performed in her high school's theatre program and was a singer in the choirs. She moved to Los Angeles in order to study in The University of Southern California and then performed as Belle as the Princess for one and a half seasons at Disneyland. Her departure from college was to seek out an agent. After that, she started auditioning and working on television and in film.
